What are the methods for grinding valve spheres
After the hardening treatment of the valve ball and valve seat, they need to go through the process of grinding. The grinding methods used for the valve ball include manual grinding and mechanical grinding. Manual grinding generally involves first filing the surface of the valve ball to be ground with a file or sandpaper, and then manually grinding the valve ball and valve seat with suitable grinding sand. Mechanical grinding mainly uses specialized machines or modified machine tools for grinding operations.
However, manual grinding and mechanical grinding are only suitable for spheres with surface hardness less than 6OHEC and roundness tolerance less than 011m, and the production efficiency is relatively low, requiring high labor intensity. For spheres treated with technologies such as supersonic spraying or superhard spraying, their surface hardness reaches 65~7OHEC, and the roundness tolerance is greater than 011mm. Therefore, they cannot be processed.
