The difference between a nested ball and a solid ball

Customers often ask about the differences between hollow balls, solid balls, and sleeve balls. Now let's talk about the differences between these three types of balls. The manufacturing processes for hollow balls, solid balls, and sleeve balls are also different, and welding marks can be seen for hollow balls and sleeve balls. Sleeve ball refers to the hollow core of the valve (ball) in a ball valve, commonly known as sleeve ball.

The so-called hollow ball is due to the large weight of the ball core in the ball valve, which accounts for a relatively high cost of the entire ball valve,

In order to save costs (reduce weight), hollow balls are often used in the design and manufacturing of ordinary low-pressure (generally PN64 or ANSI CLASS 300 and below) ball valves. Hollow balls are made of steel plates pressed into a spherical shape in a ball mold, with a hollow center, and then a steel cylinder is welded in the middle of the inner side as a medium channel (hence commonly known as sleeve ball). High pressure or high temperature working conditions are prohibited.
