The increase of fireproof function of stainless steel spheres
Usually, in pipeline systems with dual position adjustment, strict sealing performance, mud, wear, shrinkage channels, rapid opening and closing action (1/4 turn opening and closing), high pressure cutoff (large pressure difference), low noise, air pockets and gasification phenomena, small leakage to the atmosphere, low operating torque, and low fluid resistance, stainless steel spheres are recommended. The valve seat sealing ring of stainless steel ball is usually made of plastic, so when choosing the structure and performance of the ball valve, the fire resistance and fire resistance of the stainless steel ball should be considered, especially in the petroleum, chemical, metallurgical and other departments. When using ball valves in equipment and pipe systems with flammable and explosive media, fire resistance and fire prevention should be paid more attention to. Under certain contact pressure, the stainless steel spherical sealing ring undergoes elastic-plastic deformation in some areas. This deformation can compensate for the manufacturing accuracy and surface roughness of the ball, ensuring the sealing performance of the ball valve.
Considering the situation of fire prevention, the main approach is to change the material currently used for the stainless steel sphere and replace it with some fire-resistant materials. Only in this way can we ensure the huge losses and injuries caused by the stainless steel sphere catching fire due to other reasons or the influence of heat sources. All stainless steel spheres today are made of stainless steel and are resistant to high temperatures. Perhaps the coating on the surface layer of the stainless steel sphere is fireproof coating, so the fireproof of the stainless steel sphere can be greatly protected on the outermost layer.
